After disaster struck the pair at the start of A1, Yokomo teammates Naoto Matsukura and Ronald Völker played nice in the opening laps of the second A main, running in formation throughout the 5-minute run to finish first and second. Meanwhile, surprise A1 winner Bruno Coelho had an eventful roller coaster ride in which he dropped as low as fifth before recovering to finish third.
