MHOR Raceway in Aurora, CO hosted its 20th annual Rumble in the Rockies last weekend, drawing 269 entries including top local pros Dustin Evans and Matt Chambers, and Denver-area native Kody Numedahl who returned home to visit from Southern California. The tight and tricky indoor track challenged racers in all classes, and those who topped the three premier Modified divisions were among the country’s best.

In 2WD Modified Buggy, former national champion Dustin Evans earned TQ honors with the fastest time in two of the four rounds of qualifying. He won the first two A-Mains wire-to-wire to wrap up the title early ahead of Kody Numedahl and Matt Chambers.

If Evans’ performance in 2WD wasn’t spectacular enough, he dominated all four rounds of the 4WD buggy class before repeating the A1 and A2 victories. Behind him, TLR teammates Zac Gastelum and Taylor Larsen rounded out the podium.

After finishing third in the first qualifying round of Modified Stadium Truck, Matt Chambers never lost again - setting the fastest time in the final three heats to earn TQ and then winning the first two main events. Chambers earned the title over Brandon Steele (who stole the first round TQ), and Taylor Larsen.
