Race report from X-Factory:

Alex Krieg, driving the X Factory Infinity, has dominated all four rounds of qualifying in the 17.5 stock buggy class. Starting off with a 6-second win in qualifier #1, Krieg went on to win the remaining three qualifiers, each by at least 3 seconds.
This year the host track, HobbyTown SRS, has moved from its old location to a beautiful new indoor facility with an extremely high traction indoor dirt track. All the racers struggled early to find the right tire and foam, with slicks the order of the day, but once that problem was solved the racing was on, and it’s shaping up to be another great Cactus Classic.
After qualifying, Krieg said, “The competition is very stiff in stock buggy, the second-largest class at Cactus this year. My X Factory Infinity chassis is much lighter than standard; that allows me to add back weight where I want it to make minimum. The car corners better, and especially it jumps and lands better, which is an advantage in the 5-pack of jumps on this track.”
