Jones joyed with JConcepts 1/8-Scale Spring Nationals win

Race report from Tyler Jones:

This past weekend I attended the JConcepts 1:8 6th Annual Spring Indoor Nationals in Omaha, NE at the Hobbyplex. Track was amazing all weekend and program ran flawless as usual at this track. The race drew around 150 fast racers from all over.

I chose to run only nitro classes this weekend to get back in flow after nearly a seven month break to focus on my 1:10 race program. I have one more nitro race before the ROAR Fuel Nats in Chico,CA to get more wheel time.

In qualifying, I would double up on the tq position by tq'ing both expert truggy and expert buggy. In buggy I was only driver to run 18 laps in the qualifiers. Truggy qualifying was closer as I tq'd two rounds to get the overall.

Truggy main was first and my TLR 8T 3.0 on JConcepts Reflex's in black compound were hooked up. Second place and I checked out and swapped the lead the entire 45 minute main. I had one bobble on my own and put me almost a lap down and came back to finish second just behind the winner. My LRP engine with The Nitro Shop fuel mileage mod sipping on Bones Brew fuel had amazing runtime all weekend and ran flawless!!

Buggy main was last race of the day. At the tone, I started to pull away until getting caught in a wreck and let second place around me. I wasn't worried cause I knew how fast my TLR 8B 3.0 on the JConcepts new Triple D's in black compound were. I caught second place, passed him, and was gone after that. I put two laps in the entire field by the end. Again, my LRP engine with The Nitro Shop fuel mileage mod on Bones Brew was getting amazing runtime and performed flawless all weekend!!

I'd like to give John Piant and everyone at JConcepts a big thanks for everything that they have done for me!!! John helped my dad with pit stops also this weekend and were blistering fast!! Also, Alex Sturgeon at Hobbyplex for the great track, race, and facility!!
