Orion-powered TLR teammates Maifield and Phend dominated AMS 6.0

The 2015 Alabama Manufacturer's Shootout 6.0 was held this past weekend in Cullman, Alabama. Team Orion's Ryan Maifield & Dakotah Phend would both make there way down south to attend this years AM6 6.0! With close to 500 total race entries, it was going to be a great weekend of racing!

Race Schedule:

Thursday, May 28th: Open / Controlled Practice

Friday, May 29th: 3 Rounds of Qualifying

Saturday, May 30th: A-Main Events

1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy

In the 1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy class, it was Team Orion's Dakotah Phend that would take the overall TQ!

At the start of the 45-Minute A-Main Event, Team Orion's Ryan Maifield would make a first lap pass on his teammate Dakotah Phend. Maifield would then go onto lead every lap and would be the only driver to make it by for the 95th lap to record his 1st Championship of the weekend! Dakotah would go onto finish 2nd overall to secure Team Orion on the top 2 steps of the podium!

1/8 Pro Nitro Truggy

In the 1/8 Pro Nitro Truggy class, it was again Team Orion's Dakotah Phend that would take the overall TQ!

In the 45-Minute A-Main Event, Phend and Maifield would break away from the field early and have a great battle. Maifield would end up pulling away from Phend during the last half of the race and would be the only driver to go 97 laps to wrap up his 2nd Championship of the weekend! Phend would finish 2nd and again Team Orion would finish on the top 2 steps of the podium!

In the 1/8 Pro Electric Buggy class, Team Orion's Dakotah Phend would record his impressive 3rd overall TQ at this years AMS 6.0!

Phend would then go onto dominate the 10-Minute Double A-Main Events by taking convincing Wins in A-Main #1 & A-Main #2 and lock-up the overall Championship!
