Race report from X-Factory UK:
TEKNO SHORT COURSE NATIONAL DOMINATION
The first round of the UK Short Course Nationals took place on the 17th May at the ARC Raceway near Colchester, Essex. In total there were 57 racers in attendance, a great showing to kick the 2015 season off.
The meeting was TQ'd and won Mark Rumble of ARC Modelsport running the new Tekno SCT410.3. Mark was also joined by Tony Hill on the podium in 3rd place also running the Tekno truck.
In the 4wd A final Mark and Tony were also joined by X-Factory UK team drivers Justin Kirk (6th) and Darren Boyle (7th) both running their Tekin and Vampire powered SCT410.3 kits, giving 4 Tekno trucks in the main final (more than any other brand.)
The 4wd B final was also a Tekno dominated affair with no fewer than 5 SCT410 trucks in the final, led by team driver Gary Williamson in 2nd, all drivers going to prove the platforms popularity this season due to its durability, performance and sure footed handling characteristics..
The 2wd event was as hotly contested as ever with local hero Mark Everitt taking the win from short course superstar Danny Conway and young Jamie Hall. X-Factory UK team driver Jimmy Noke was 4th overall with his Vampire Racing powered "Exotek" DESC210 truck. Jimmy was also joined in the A final by teammate Darren Boyle (7th) running for the very first time in the UK the all new X-Factory SCX-61 truck showing its potential with an A final appearance on its very first outing, once more powered by Vampire Racing ESC, Motor's and LIPO's and as per all our team drivers finished off with JConcepts bodies and Avid/JConcepts wheels and inserts..
Overall a great start to the series, roll on round two next weekend at NDOR in Nottingham.
