ROAR 1/10th Scale Nationals Rule Update

ADDITIONAL RULE CLARIFICATIONS FOR 10th SCALE OFFROAD NATIONALS

TIRE PREPARATION

The ROAR Executive Committee has determined that Section 12.4.7.4 of the Rule Book which states “Modifications to handout tires, apart from normal wear and tear, are not allowed” will not be enforced at the 2021 10th Scale Offroad Nationals at The Track in Gaithersburg, MD. Racers in all classes will be permitted to sand or grind the tread of the tire. All sanding / grinding must be done outside the building and at least a “ghost outline” of the original tire tread must be visible. No other modifications to handout tires will be permitted other than the addition of vent holes. Tire identification information on the sidewall must not be modified, altered or removed. Racers in classes using handout tires are limited to 3 sets of tires plus 1 extra set for those in triple A Mains. All other rules regarding tires in all classes will remain in effect. Section 12.4.7.4 will be revised in the near future.

STADIUM TRUCK BODIES

2WD Stadium Truck bodies must cover the front and rear shock towers. Rear spoilers must be attached to the body, not the chassis / shock tower. Wings are not permitted. Please see Rule 8.7.2.1 for requirements for frontal area, body height and width, cab height and width, and windshield height and slant.
