As was reported yesterday, Ty Tessmann will debut the new HB 2WD buggy platform (or at least a closer-to-production version of it) at the Hot Rod Hobbies Off-Road Shootout this weekend. Less than an before this post was published, the national and world champion followed up yesterday's intentionally blurred photo with another - showing the actual car on the HRH track surface from what's likely the closest anyone will get to the car with a camera this weekend.

Posted by HB HPI Racing on Thursday, July 16, 2015If you look closely (shown here zoomed in, which explains the low photo quality) you can see certain aspects of the platform's design, most notably a front shock tower mount similar to HB's D413 4WD buggy. The tower itself looks quite tall, which would indicate an importance placed on front suspension travel. You can see a little bit of the front steering knuckle, which looks to have an average axle height, and the bracing for the rear shock tower certainly looks interesting. The body is very low-profile and looks rather production-ready:
