Drama struck on the first official day of the 2016 IFMAR World Championships as registration preceded the start of practice - with a two-and-a-half-year-old rule change deeming all but one manufacturer's rear wing as illegal.

As stated, it seems the only manufacturer's wing in compliance is that of Kyosho. It remains to be seen whether drivers will simply try to find a Kyosho wing and bolt it to their cars (putting local and Internet shops in a position of strength, no doubt) or simply affix larger side dams to their existing wings.
