Reigning ROAR National Champion Spencer Rivkin's RC8B3 sported a prototype body and front wing from JConcepts on Day One of the IFMAR Worlds. While we don't yet have official information from JConcepts' founder Jason Ruona (which we expect will come tomorrow), there are a few interesting things to note about its features.
The first impression - it looks much more similar to the stock lid than the Striker. From what we heard in the pits today, Team Associated engineers suggested specific design features like the shallower windshield angle, longer cab and raised spoiler section in front of the rear shock tower.
The front wing follows a similar concept to what has grown in popularity among 1/10-scale 2WD racers over the last couple of years, but smaller - it's bolted in front of the front shock tower.
We'll make sure to get more information on these new items later this week.
Oh, and Spencer's Mx B4 engine is topped with a special Vegas-edition head:
