After a weekend of major racing from all around the world, Top25RC.com has released an updated driver ranking list for the 1:8 Offroad Buggy class.
Top25RC says, "18 of the Top 25 drivers in the world were active this weekend with 2 different scoring events happening. One being the Lone Star Nitro Challenge held at Thornhill Raceway in Texas , which also happen to be the ROAR Nationals Warm Up. The second scoring event was the Euro warm up held in Sand, Germany. Both events proved that the drivers at the top of the Top 25 Ranking list belong there!
The long time world number one continued his dominance by dominating qualifying at the Lone Star Challenge with an easy TQ, and finishing second after a close battle with eventual winner Cody King. Ty's closest challenger to the top ranker driver in the world proved his worth with a TQ and win at the Euro Warm Up in Germany. When all the dust settled at both events, the changes on the list were small, with the exception of Jared Tebo dropping 2 spots due to failing to get out of the Lone Star semis and Yannik Aigion dropping a dramatic 12 spots for also failing to make the final at the Euro Warm Up. Yannik's result affected him more because of his lack of qualifying events attended. Josh wheeler jumped into the top 5 with a little help from the mechanical problem both Tebo and Savoya experienced.
Some followers/fans may consider these "Warm Up" races as strictly a test session. BUT after speaking with a number top drivers in the world over the phone, it confirmed our belief that every driver there want to win!"
