Gord and Ty Tessmann have dreamed up a few different ideas for their Hot Bodies vehicles over the last couple of years, and the new parts (along with a heaping dose of talent) have helped propel the father-son duo to an incredible record of ROAR national titles and other event wins. Pro-Line, one of Ty's long-time main sponsors, has provided the manufacturing resources to make many of these dreams into reality, and they've got another one here in the pits at the Naxos World Track.

Called the "Trifecta," aligned with the similar Pro-Line 1/10-scale wing of the same name but looking nothing like the existing 1/8-scale Trifecta, it is made of .060" polycarbonate and is molded in two pieces - Ty has shoe-gooed the center portion in place so that the wing can be removed. Neil Cragg, Lee Martin, Jeremy Kortz, and Drew Moller have all tried the wing so far this week, but only Tessmann and Jörn Neumann have stuck with it so far. Ty said that he and his father figured it would work because Lexan wings are so common in 1/10-scale, so they asked Pro-Line designer Tim Clark to make one up. The main idea was to reduce weight, particularly at the highest point of the car - Gord said that even with the wicker bill installed, the wing is 5 grams lighter than the Upgrade Vortex wing with no wicker bill.
