Main Photo: Travis Amezcua's Slash may be the fastest on planet Earth Travis Amezcua has just piloted the first Traxxas-based vehicle into an A-main of a "pro" class at the nationals in probably 20 years.

The vehicle Amezcua is running isn't stock, however. It is the latest rendition of a conversion kit we've told you about over the last few months that has been developed by Gil Losi Jr. under the branding of a yet-to-be announced company called Anza.

The kit transforms the highly-popular Traxxas Slash from a backyard basher into a serious racing machine. So serious, in fact, that it is capable of being put in the A-main of Modified Pro-2 at the ROAR Off-Road Nationals.

We can't show you a body-off shot just yet, but we can tell you that it is a highly modified machine. However, it still uses the Slash gear box, pivot blocks, arms, and various other things. We must say, it looks pretty trick!

Travis hopes to guide his "FrankenSlash" to a national championship this weekend. But even if he comes up short, the vehicle's credibility has already been established. It takes a car that has been tested and painstakingly designed and refined to make it into a nationals A-main, and that is exactly the type of rig that has been created by the folks at Anza.

Stay tuned to LiveRC.com for future info regarding the Anza Slash conversion kit!
