SWorkz has been producing RC cars and products for quite some time, but they didn’t really find their way into the RC racing spotlight until parent company Speedmaster Hobby signed 2008 IFMAR World Champion Atsushi Hara at the start of the 2014 season.
Hara immediately set out to work on improving the car’s performance on a variety of tracks, developing new parts and proving what the buggy was capable of achieving - especially when he earned the FEMCA championship in his first year with the car. Hara and his mechanic, Masayuki Miura, are here at the Dirt Nitro Challenge with a few new parts on his car, emphasizing durability on the extreme Fear Farm R/C Raceway course.
What makes this buggy more interesting, though, is the confirmation yesterday that Adam Drake’s deal with Mugen Seiki will perhaps end after this weekend - reigniting the rumors that he may in fact join AMain.com and SWorkz. Can you imagine Hara and Drake as teammates with this car?
