What used to be a sideshow at the Nitro Challenge has turned into serious business over the last few years, with factory pros from nearly every team signing up to run 1/8-Scale Electric Buggy. What better way to test new setup ideas for the marquee Pro Buggy class than to run a very similar car the day before? It's not like anyone has ever complained about getting too much track time. With so many drivers signing up to run the ballistic brushless-power behemoths, the DNC offered 40+, Sportsman, Expert, and Pro divisions for the first time ever. The Pro Electric Buggy A-Main was just as competitive as the nitro class, and although Ryan Maifield wowed the crowd by driving from tenth on the grid to second, Ty Tessmann held fast from the front of the grid to lead every lap for the biggest E-Buggy title of his career.
