3Racing Aluminum Washer Set
$3.75
When it comes to putting a custom look on your car, it's more than just have a fancy paintjob. A true custom look means customized parts that match the color theme of your ride. In an effort to do so, we grabbed ourselves some of the new 3Racing aluminum washer sets!

3Racing aluminum washers are available in .5, 1.0, 1.5,  2.0, 2.5, 3.0, and even 4.0mm sizes! Each set is sold in packs of ten, are reasonably priced, and are available in blue, light blue, pink, red, purple, and titanium.

Pros:
  • Cheap way to add a "factory look" to your car by replacing stock washers with something a little brighter.
  • Sold in sets of 10, which is usually plenty for an entire car's worth.
  • Available in nearly every popular size, and then some, which helps eliminate the need to stack multiple washers to measure up.
Cons:
  • Not available in green, orange, or gold/yellow (popular colors in paint schemes).
Conclusion:
We personally live for the color green, and unfortunately had to settle for our second favorite color (blue), but overall we were very happy with our purchase of the 3Racing aluminum washer sets. We spent a total of $20, gave our ride the ultimate custom look, and have PLENTY of colored washers to spare.

JConcepts TLR 22/22T/22SCT "Monroe" Battery Brace
$21.25

When it comes to holding our battery in place, we want something simple, trick, and downright beautiful...like Marilyn Monroe. Body clips are pain and Velcro straps are yesterday's news. To spice things up, we turned to JConcepts to try out the "Monroe" series carbon fiber battery strap. We decided to replace our TLR 22T's worn out Velcro straps with this nifty system.

The JC Monroe Battery Brace set includes a lightweight carbon fiber battery strap, all necessary mounting hardware for your choice of short or long battery packs, and blingin' thumb screws stamped with "JC" to hold it all in place.

Pros:
  • Using the provided instruction sheet and mounting hardware, installation is easy.
  • Offers a very secure way to hold your battery in place, while also looking good.
  • 2.5mm carbon fiber brace is tough, yet very lightweight.
  • Works well with short and long battery packs.
Cons:
  • Our vehicle is made up of metric nuts and bolts, therefore we metric sized tools. If your looking to tighten your thumb screws with a wrench, you'll need to pick up a 11/32" hex wrench just for this.
Conclusion:
Despite having to squeeze in an extra tool in our toolbox, we were very satisfied with the overall installation and performance of the JConcepts Monroe battery brace set on our TLR 22T. It is definitely a beauty to look at, and we think it is safe to say that this battery brace set is in fact the Marilyn Monroe of battery braces.

THURSDAY TESTIMONIALS - RANDOM ITEM OF THE WEEK:
Each week outside of the R/C world we test out and use a variety of items in our daily routines that have absolutely nothing to do with R/C, and THIS is what we think of them!

Better Homes and Garden Wax Warmer
$15.00

Here at LiveRC.com we are all about having a fresh smelling office. We thought about hiring a Bath & Body Works employee from 9 to 5 just to spray magical fragrances around the office when necessary, but instead we took a more economical approach. While spending an evening at the local Wal-Mart, we some how ended up in the "smelly good" aisle. Candles are out of the question, as we have a tendency to spend more time playing in the fire than working, so we knew we needed something flame-free.

This is when we found the Better Homes and Garden Wax Warmer. This nifty little lamp simply melts wax fragrance cubes in its top, and spreads your choice of aroma throughout the office.

Pros:
  • Available in a wide variety of models to match your current decor.
  • No flame, means no burnt fingers or lost work time due to fire playing employees.
  • Wax cubes are available in every flavor imaginable, including our personal favorite "Cupcakes".
  • The scent travels in and out of the office very quickly, and eliminated unwanted odors.
Cons:
  • We are not decorators, therefore we were at a loss as to which model to purchase.
  • While there is no flame, the wax still melts...meaning we still spend majority of our time playing in it.
  • Wax cubes smell exactly as they are labeled, especially "Cupcakes". They do not, however, taste like they smell.
  • The scent travels in and out of the office very quickly, even when someone puts the atrocious smelling "Musk" cubes in the burner.
Conclusion:
Assuming you can resist the urge to play in the melted wax, not eat the wax cubes for their smell, and your co-workers agree on what flavors truly smell good...this is a brilliant purchase that looks good, smells good, and is worth every penny.
