Valley's First Indoor R/C Track Opens in Palm Desert

Rise Up HobbyTown is the Only Hobby Shop & First Indoor R/C Track in the Coachella Valley

Rise Up HobbyTown is the Coachella Valley's newest indoor entertainment center and only hobby shop geared towards radio control car, truck, boat, plane, jet, helicopter, and drone enthusiasts. The Grand Opening celebration is set for 9am to 6pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018 located at 77583 El Duna Court - Suite H in Palm Desert.

Rise Up HobbyTown features 2,000 square-foot fully stocked hobby shop with thousands of items for the R/C enthusiast and 8,000 square-foot indoor climate-controlled R/C carpet track for 1/10th and 1/12th scale off-road and on-road cars and trucks. "After the tragic loss of the valley's only hobby store, it left a huge void in the valley for the R/C community... so we wanted to create a place where all R/C enthusiasts felt welcomed," says Rob Thomas, owner of Rise Up HobbyTown.

Track surface is 85x55 feet in size and offers a large 40-foot drivers stand. Pit area include tables, chairs, and power to accommodate over 100 drivers. The state-of-the-art track features CRC Black Carpet that is specifically designed for R/C racing, Full PA System covering both track and pit areas, LiveTime Scoring System with MyLaps transponder support, LiveRC Online Results & Video Feed, TV Monitors, WiFi Internet, and Video Arcade to help pass time between races.

The Grand Opening celebration will be extra fun for everyone in the family. Free R/C car and truck demos will be available along with raffle prize giveaways all day long. Free food and beverages will also be served.

Rise Up HobbyTown offers the first and only indoor R/C carpet track in the Coachella Valley. The track was designed not only for local club racing, but also for the professional racing circuit. The track will host a variety of regional and national racing events throughout the year bringing in hundreds of R/C racers to the valley year-round. On February 10-11, 2018 the track will host the R/C On-road California Touring Series (CTS) Season Opener.

Rise Up HobbyTown is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. R/C track is open daily to the public. Practice costs $15 per person and racing is $20 per class. Rentals start at $20 per hour (available on first-come-first serve basis). Off-road and on-road practice and racing will vary between dates and times. Custom birthday and special event packages with food and beverages are also available.
