22 4.0 raised rear shock tower 1mm

Hello everyone,

This week, I would like to share a little insight/details from the latest TLR 22 4.0 posted by Frank and Chad (Setup can be found here). In this setup, Frank adds in the notes in the lower right corner to raise rear shock tower 1mm. I just added 4x 1mm axle washers over the aluminum posts on the transmission case, and then replaced the tower (see pic).

Here’s an explanation on what this does and what other things you can do along with this change (Give the car 1mm more rear up travel, and also add 2mm external limiters in the front to decrease the front up travel). Basically, the car is rolling to the ‘stops’ sometimes, and the front/rear roll was not balanced causing the car to roll over the front more (especially in sweepers and high grip). Evening out that roll helps to keep the car from flipping and gives it a better balance through those turns.
