Race report from Alex Villasana:

Nico Perez, the 2016 Mexican Nitro Touring National Champion

It was a difficult season for the Mexican driver during the 6 races that were celebrated in different states of the Mexican Republic. The level of competition has increased too much in recent years and the quality of the drivers as well. Nico Perez with his Kyosho V-One R4, kept strategically the score of each race for the final sum score against his rivals. Obtaining victories and TQs, he demonstrated a great development in the setting of his chassis supported by his team VPGP.

Without a doubt what most amazed Nico was the knowledge acquired in recent seasons, he told us that it is incredible how you never stop learning in the hobby, which is impressive. He also told us that he would like to call the attention of the brands producing chassis and spare parts for the radio control so that they turned to see Mexico and could enjoy the level there and the hobby and taste for.

Nico thanked his sponsors and team for the good performance during all the races and promised to return with more for 2017. He told us that he has very good plans to continue running and that his first date would be in Guadalajara, in the GPI Karting that will be an amazing event only. He told us as well that he want to keep growing and start thinking in racing the worlds was a very close deal.

In Mexico radio control has more and more followers and generate better and better events. Despite the disadvantage of the Mexican peso against the American dollar the number of pilots has been increasing date by date so that the stores of control radio in the world should be able to offer advantages to the Latin American markets.

2017 will deliver new emotions and we will certainly follow closely to Nico who will have to defend his title.
