Race report from Adam Curry (via email):
With a Total of 74 Entries the Eds RC New Years Trophy Race was a fun race to attend this past weekend. We had Racers from multiple states in attendance that had to drive through some harsh weather to make. With it being extremely cold weather here in West Virginia the track and Pits were very well heated and lots of excitement was coming from the racers!
I as well had a very good day as the track stayed very consistent, even with a slight water between rounds.
Normally a slight tread or slicks work very well and with the moisture in the track, most of us decided to stay on slicks which proved to have some very fast laps! The track layout was super fun and fairly high speed which kept everyone on a very close pace, which resulted in awesome racing. I decided to race 4wd Mod Buggy and 4wd Mod Short Course, I was very happy with how my equipment performed and I had a lot of confidence coming in to this race. I was able to take the TQ Spot in both Classes and take the wins after putting my head down and staying calm. I want to say thanks to everyone for coming out and we are glad everyone made it home safe! Also thanks to everyone for the Support! Mugen Seiki, Lrp America, Vision Racing Products, Sticky Kicks RC, Eds RC, and JL Designs!
