Race report from Schumacher:
The 2018 Schumacher BTCC season started on a cold Easter weekend at the picturesque Cotswold circuit.
In spite of the weather there were 8 heats and some of Britain’s best touring car drivers in attendance, for their first outdoor race of the year.
Olly Jeffries secured TQ in touring car mod for Xray, closely followed by Elliott Harper for Schumacher. A close final was anticipated but unfortunately Elliott's speed control failed on the start line, which allowed Olly to take a relatively comfortable win from Alex Hagberg (Xray) who fought off a strong challenge from Chris Grainger (Associated) in 3rd.
In 13.5 boosted Zak Finley maintained a slight edge throughout qualifying and then won the final with his Xray from the Schumacher Mi6evo's of Chris Gunter and James Hart.
In 13.5 blinky Jimmy Madison won with Tony broad 2nd and Marcus Askell in 3rd.
Adrian Sully was very happy to take the TQ and win in 17.5 from Chris Ellis and Dave Ringsell.
Thanks to Gareth Coates and the Cotswold club for running the event and to Chris Kennedy for the entertaining commentary and Adrian Jefferies for the pictures.
We are looking forward to round 2 at Stafford on May 6th.
