Well The 2019 Southern Indoor Championships is in the books for the Soar Racing USA Family. With a strong presence of 9 drivers in total making an appearance at this years event, which was brought to you by Racetime Entertainment and RC Trackmasters was a great experience.

The track build was excellent, with a higher sand content allowing for a track that develops amazing amounts of character over the course of the event and a well thought out layout, which lent itself to being challenging, yet driver centric. All levels of racers found themselves able to traverse the layout so everyone had the ability to successfully race. Great work Bobby Moore and Dave Leikem.

Announcing and Race direction was handled by the one and only Jimmy Babcock. So you know he kept the show going. It is always a pleasure to race when Jimmy is at the helm. Thanks for the long hours and hard work. Always a pleasure!

Soar had drivers in many of the classes, ranging from Sportsman to Pro and results were excellent. Newest Factory Team Driver Cole Kasten missing the Pro Nitro A Main by just seconds. Sadly it did not happen at this event. Congratulations Cole however on an amazing debut race with the SOAR TD1R. Finishing 4th in the B.

Cole said ” I just made one too many mistakes. The car was dialed and I had the speed and consistency needed, but it just was not to be today.”

Other notable finishes include a 4th Place Sportsman A Main Finish by newly hired driver Ryan LeCuyer. Having just recently returned to RC racing after several years away due to illness, Ryan will be a person of interest in the coming months.

Ryan said, “It feels great to be back to racing again and my TD1R was perfect. I felt I ran a smooth and consistent race, so I am very pleased with a podium finish here at SIC.”
