Ongaro and Baruffolo Win Italian National Finals

Race Report by Marco Baruffolo

Last week there was the last round of Italian Nats at Pista Off Road Casa Mora. 

The track on Friday was good, nice layout but in the afternoon it started to become very dusty, slippery and full of bumps. During the day we had free practices and my cars worked really good. 

On Saturday we had 4 rounds of qualies and I had bad luck in e-buggy. In the first one i finished 2nd behind Davide but in the other 3 rounds I always had a problem and I finished 3rd overall. 

In nitro, i TQed the first round and finished 3rd in second and fourth round and I was 2nd overall. 

On Sunday the track was more slippery and we decided to use Roma Soft tyres for both classes. 

In the first final the car was very difficult to drive and I finished 2nd. 

For the second one me and my dad cut the outside pin to have less side grip and it worked awesome! Took the win in A2 and A3 and overall win.

Thanks to this win, I am the new Italian Champion in e-buggy!

In nitro we decide to use for the final Miami soft in front and Roma soft in the rear and the car was amazing but some mistakes in the middle of the race put me down in the 3rd place.
