The 2020 season opener is in the books! With 104 entries coming to tame the high speed,high bite track of Indy Rc World in Garland,Tx. Speeds were high and the racing was some tough competition in all classes.
Street stock a main had a hell of a race between Dave "Dynoman" Hill and Will Ingle. They battled the whole race back and forth with Dave coming across the line first follwed by Will Ingle and Kevin Lenderman.
In the Wingless class it was a battle from the start with the top 3 seperating from the pack. Spots switching nearly every lap. In the end it would be 2020 chil bowl champ Zach Freeman on top followed by Eric Hancock and Kenneth Drake.
Sc mod class TQ Mike McDougel led wire to wire in the main with a good battle behind him with Zach Freeman coming in second and Kevin Lenderman in third.
Midwest mod was a tough field of cars and second largest class of the day. Andrew Dean was the top of the field in laptimes and it showed in the main. He was on top of the podium followed by Johnny Welborn and Maurice Guildner.
2wd late model was a fun race to watch with spots switching each lap. Mike Patton led the first part of the race from his tq spot. In the end it was the "Queen" Jennifer Lathrop showing the way to the checkers followed by Mike Patton and David Hill.
Open sprint was led wire to wire by our favorite G.O.A.T. Nathan Dean. But the real show was the battle for the next 2 spots. It was a battle between husband and wife , and there was no holding back!!!!! Nathan was on top spot of the podium followed by Jennifer Lathrop and Randy Lathrop.
