The inaugural Dragon Stone Asian Buggy Championships is the latest event from Scotty Ernst Productions to bring the excitement of an international pro-level RC race to an area of the world that may not have previously experienced an event of such caliber. Scotty personally greeted international racers as they flew in for the event, as all were escorted back to the host hotel.

For those traveling from abroad, the race is also a chance to experience Chinese culture - especially the cuisine.

The incredible Dragon Stone Radio Controlled Speedway located in Longshi Park in Liaoyang City, China may be one of the most picturesque RC racing venues on the planet.

As we saw during last week’s IFMAR World Championship for 1/12-Scale and ISTC, the Chinese government is fully behind the event - helping to throw a truly magnificent opening ceremony.

There are 109 entries competing across the nitro buggy and truck divisions, as well as electric buggy. The registration list includes some of the fastest 1/8-scale buggy racers in the world, along with drivers from all over the world’s most populous country.

The pit area sets a new standard for creature comforts.

The track looks terrific, though practice got off to a wet and muddy start.
