Team Associated drivers Neil Cragg and Kyle McBride tried an aggressively sculpted Pro-Line Racing body on their RC8B3 buggies in the first round of practice at the IFMAR Worlds. The contoured windshield and side pods are shaped to promote aerodynamic downforce, which could prove useful on the high-speed RC Tracks of Las Vegas course.
When asked about the new shell, Pro-Line's Daniel Adams said it was strictly a prototype they had been testing - and it sounds like Cragg and McBride may be the only ones who have them. The shell might look familiar, though; it seems to be derived from the lid Carson Wernimont and his father, Russ, designed a couple of years ago - and Carson used to make the podium at the 2014 Worlds.
