Missouri flooding puts St. Louis Dirtburners under water [VIDEO]

St. Louis Dirtburner's, located just outside of the St. Louis, Missouri, was host of the 2007 ROAR 1/8-scale Offroad Nationals, has been a multi-time host of the Byron Fuels Heartland Challenge, and is home of the Futaba/O.S. Engines Nitro Challenge. If you have never attended an event at the St. Louis Dirtburner's facility, the track is located in a picturesque public park that is surrounded by walking trails, baseball fields, and the mighty Meramec River. 

Enormous amounts of rain has put many parts of the Midwest and state of Missouri under water. While this is not the first time the St. Louis Dirtburner's facility has seen an abundance of rain and flooding, the sight of it is still shocking.

Via the St. Louis Dirtburner's Facebook page, the track crew has shared this aerial footage showing the current track conditions. What is visible of the track is nothing more than the driver's stand rooftop and the tippy-top of the light poles standing next to it. The remainder of the track and public park is 8-10 feet below the water's surface.

As mentioned, this is not the first time the St. Louis Dirtburner's club has dealt with this, and despite the looks of it, they will be back up and racing very soon. Our guess is that this weekend's club race has probably been cancelled, and the only one turning fast laps right now is Billy Bass with his pond-powered fighter fins.
