In April, SoCal-based RC photographer Steve Burgess of Rugspin Graphix sent us shots of a prototype Mazda-based touring car body from PROTOform being used at the third round of the California Touring Series. You can see that article, as well as the history of PROTOform Mazda shells, here:

This past weekend, reigning world champ Ronald Völker - who stayed in the U.S. following the Reedy Touring Car Race of Champions - competed at round four of the California Touring Series in Fresno, where he took the win. The German racer used an all-blue lid that PROTOform acknowledged on its Facebook page as the upcoming offering which they're calling the MS7 - likely a nod to the previous Madzaspeed6 body, one of the most successful 190mm shells of all time. While there's been no official announcement of a release date or specs, the fact that PROTOform has started mentioning it on social media means it's probably not too far away. We'll share whatever information we can find.
