LiveTime and LapSync have announced an agreement to work together to best meet the needs of the drone racing community moving forward.
James Elkins, the developer of the LapSync drone racing software, will be taking on a new role of building up the MultiGP website APIs to help pilots plan and sync their event data to MultiGP. Elkins, with over 25 years of development experience and a deep knowledge of timing systems to lend to the role, stated "It's been incredibly fun to be involved in timing and scoring software for drone racing over the past 2 years, and I am excited to see what our partnership can bring to the future of MultiGP and drone race timing."
LiveTime will now take on the role of the official scoring software of MultiGP, and will work hand in hand with Elkins to drive the MultiGP platform into the future. LiveTime co-owner Cory Kroll states that, "Over the past two years, both LiveTime and LapSync have paved the way for timing systems in drone racing. It is extremely exciting to be joining up with James to put all our efforts towards the same common goal of furthering the technical capabilities of timing and scoring races."
The partnership will also pave new and exciting ways to broadcast live video, live scoring, and race results online. Brandon Rohde, co-owner of LiveTime, states, “It is extremely exciting to be joining up with James to put all our efforts towards the same common goal of enhancing timing and scoring features for the FPV community. We look forward to rapidly developing new features now that we are all working together."
Both LiveTime and LapSync will work to transition current chapters into LiveTime FPV and will communicate MultiGP enhancements as they become available. Those interested in learning more about LiveTime FPV software can go to their website to www.livetimescoring.com.
