Everybody knows that Friday is meant for reminiscing old times. Each week we take you back in time as we flashback to some of R/C racing's greatest moments, products, drivers, and more!

Flashback: 2014
Cole Ogden and Ryan Lutz won Fall Brawl ahead of a very different-looking field

Last weekend, Cole Ogden won both the Buggy and Truck finals to mark his first trophy event win since joining HB Racing last month.

Three years ago yesterday, he also won the Pro Nitro Buggy class at the annual Badlands RC Supercross event and finished fourth in the Pro Nitro Truck main event - as a member of Team Losi Racing. In fact, only one of the top five finishers in either class is still with the same team.

Here are the team changes each driver as made since:

Cole Ogden
Then: Team Losi Racing
Now: HB Racing

Cole Ogden drove nothing but Team Losi Racing vehicles starting in 2013 until he left to join Mugen Seiki Racing in March 2016. Ogden made the jump to HB Racing in November 2017.

Adam Drake
Then: Team Losi Racing
Now: Mugen Seiki Racing

Having raced for the company since 1994, Adam Drake’s departure from Team Losi Racing in January 2015 was one of the RC industry’s biggest news stories that season. Drake became a member of the Mugen Seiki Racing squad in July 2015, where he remains today. He switched from Novarossi engines to O.S. Speed for the 2017 season.

Ryan Lutz
Then: Tekno RC
Now: Tekno RC

Although Ryan Lutz is the only driver on this list that has remained with the same team since the 2014 Fall Brawl, that event marked his first race after joining the Tekno RC team in November of that year. Lutz also left longtime engine sponsor Alpha Plus to run the new Tekno BLOK engines.

John Michael McGinty
Then: Mugen Seiki Racing
Now: HB Racing

John Michael McGinty spent several seasons with the Mugen Seiki Racing team before signing with HB Racing in 2017.

Barry Pettit
Then: Mugen Seiki Racing
Now: Tekno RC

Barry Pettit split from Mugen Seiki Racing after nine years with the company, and signed with the Tekno RC team at the beginning of the 2016 season.
