BREAKING: Maifield to run ProTek RC servos and batteries

On the heels of the his switch in electronics, we've learned that Ryan Maifield will now run the batteries and servos of A Main Hobbies house brand ProTek RC.

Maifield has already been linked with the California-based online retail giant, since A Main Hobbies is also the exclusive North American distributor for Yokomo, and with Maifield's still-very-fresh transition to Hobbywing electronics (we broke the story yesterday — click here to read it) the world champion had a void to fill when it came to batteries.

Also conspicuously missing from Maifield's bodies for the CRCRC Winter Midwest Electric Off-Road Championship is the MKS Servos sticker he ran since joining the brand in December 2016, as he'll be using the ProTek RC servos as well. We understand that Ryan didn't receive his new ProTek RC gear in time for this weekend's race, but that he'll be running the gear throughout 2018.

As this is a developing story, as yet not officially confirmed by either A Main or Maifield, we'll share more information as it becomes available.
