Welcome to LiveRC's weekly column, "Talk-It-Up Tuesday!" Here we spend a little time talking with industry icons including racers, manufacturers, team managers, developers, promoters, and everyone in between! Sit back, relax, and go behind the scenes as we interview them all!

For this week's Talk It Up Tuesday, we catch up with rising star Brandon Rose as he prepares for 2020!

LiveRC: Welcome Brandon to this week’s edition of “Talk It Up Tuesday.” Let’s start at the beginning. Who, what, when, where, why, and how did you get started in R/C car racing?

Brandon: I started racing when I was about 8 years old. My dad got my a Traxxas Slash as my first car and went around bashing. I started to get into R/C as I loved racing and we wanted something that only relied on skill.

LiveRC: What are some of your biggest accomplishments over the years?

Brandon: Some of my biggest accomplishments are winning the 2018 IceBreaker, getting 3rd in E-Buggy at the 2019 Dirt Lonestar race, and getting 20th overall at the 2019 ROAR Fuel Nationals.

LiveRC: You announced your departure from Serpent for 2020. Why are you moving in a new direction?

Brandon: I wanted a little more team support. Serpent is an awesome company and they have some awesome cars, but I am going to a much bigger team.

LiveRC: Can you give us any hints as to where you may be going for the new year?

Brandon: I will have one of the coolest guys in all of R/C with me everywhere I go. He is almost everyone’s favorite pro.

LiveRC: You primarily race 1/8-scale, but do you plan to do more 1/10-scale for 2020?

Brandon: As of right now we are probably going to just race 1/8-scale for 2020, as there are really not any 1/10-scale tracks close to me.

LiveRC: You have proven that you can run with some of the best in the nation. Is your goal to make a career out of racing R/C cars, or working in the R/C industry?

Brandon: As of right now I would like to become a pro, but not do it as my full-time career.

LiveRC: What is your favorite racing class, and why?

Brandon: My favorite class is Nitro Buggy. It is a lot more rewarding when you win a race because everything has to go perfect for your car to survive the long races, and for you to concentrate for the long mains.

LiveRC: How often do you practice and/or club race when you aren’t attending major races?

Brandon: I like to club race every weekend and get there early to practice. With school being so busy I don’t run much during the week.

LiveRC: What are your personal goals for the 2020 racing season?

Brandon: My goals are to keep moving forward as a driver on and off the track. To represent my sponsors in the best way that I can and get some bigger wins.

LiveRC: When you aren’t racing R/C cars, what are some of your other hobbies and interests?

Brandon: I like to play basketball a lot and hang out with friends.

LiveRC: What is one thing most people don’t know about Brandon Rose?

Brandon: Most people don’t know, but I have a 274 high score in bowling.

LiveRC: Thank you for joining us today Brandon, and we wish you the very best for 2020 and beyond! Is there anything you would like to add before we go?

Brandon: I would like to thank everyone at live rc for everything you guys do for the RC racing Community!
