Oklahoma Hobbies and RC announces "AMP CAMP" - Summer R/C Kids Camp

Lately, we have been in the process of setting up an educational RC camp called AMP CAMP! This camp will be offered to kids of all ages that are located around the Edmond, OKC, Moore, and Norman Areas. With this camp, kids will be able to learn how to build, work on, and drive their very own RC cars. 

There will be a total of 20 spots open for the camp. The dates for the AMP CAMP are Wednesday July 18th through Friday July 20th starting at 4pm and ending at 7pm. Participants in AMP CAMP will race on Saturday July 21st starting at 2pm to show off their newly found skills! All family members are more than welcome to join their child on race day!

The entry fee for AMP CAMP is $275. This covers the cost of the kit, paint, practice/race day fees, and a $5 limit on concessions per day. Though, parents are welcome to provide snacks for their child if they wish to do so. To reserve your child a spot, there will be a $100 deposit that can be paid IN STORE ONLY with cash, card, PayPal or bitcoin. 

Safety is our number one concern here at Oklahoma Hobbies. Upon arrival, parents will be asked to come into the store to sign their child in when being dropped off or picked up. The children will not be allowed to leave without a parent or guardian present. 

The kit build in question is the ECX Amp MT Build Kit. Upon request, we can upgrade parts such as aluminum shock towers, aluminum shocks, and aluminum rear hubs for additional cost. The body in the kit will come clear, so please pick out a color when the deposit is made. The bodies will be pre-painted upon the arrival of the participants.

Upon making the in-store deposit, there will also be a registration form for the parents or guardian to sign, if the participant is under 18. Signups for AMP CAMP will close Tuesday July 3rd, two weeks prior to the beginning of the camp. So, swing by Oklahoma Hobbies and Radio Control and sign up your child today for AMP CAMP!
