After an impressive 12th place finish at the recent IFMAR 1/8-scale Off-Road World Championships it comes as quite a surprise that XRAY / RC America has announced they are parting ways with CJ Jelin.

The company announced the split late last night via social media with the following statement:

At XRAY/RC America we have thoroughly enjoyed watching CJ Jelin grow as an individual and racer. He has handled any pressure or adversity as the champion we hope he becomes. At this time we have to announce CJ and XRAY/RC America will be parting paths. We wish CJ and Kevin all the very best wherever their path takes them.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Cj for several years, he is super talented and a nice kid, I truly wish him the very best wherever he decides to go.” — Gord Tessmann

"Though I’m still young, my racing program has grown tremendously under X-ray and R/C America. While they are an amazing company and team, it is no longer in our common interests to represent each other. I wish them nothing but the best on and off the track, but mostly wish to thank them for everything they’ve done for me the last two years. Thanks!" — CJ Jelin
