[UPDATE] ROAR announces that Full Throttle Raceway will host the 2014 IFMAR Electric Onroad World Championships

Earlier this month ROAR announced a "last chance" opportunity for the IFMAR World Championships to be held in the United States in 2014. Today, they have announced that Full Throttle Raceway in Kissimmee, Florida will be the official host of the 2014 IFMAR Electric Onroad World Championships.

ROAR has made the following statement:

"ROAR would like to first Thank IFMAR for allowing us to make a second go at hosting the 2014 Electric On Road World Championships. In doing so they have made it possible for ROAR to keep this event in the ROAR Bloc for 2014. We would also like to Thank all of the racers and track operators for their support in bringing this event back. We had but a short window in which to get potential bids in and it was a very tuff choice for the Ex comm as all the Facilities where equally capable in holding this prestigious event however we could only pick one. With that being said we would like to congratulate Full Throttle Raceway in beautiful Kissimmee, Florida as the host track for the 2014 Electric On Road Worlds. Stay tuned for more updates on this event."

Many of viewers and ourselves included have been interested in seeing the facility and track at Full Throttle Raceway, and this morning we have received the following track pic:

Word on the street is that the track will be receiving fresh pavement before the event, which could possibly mean changes to the layout as well. With the Florida sunshine, fresh pavement, and surrounding landscape, the 2014 IFMAR World Championships is shaping up to be a race/vacation of any racers dreams!
