New from RC Garage:
Buggy Setup Wizard is a tool that helps rc racer do a quick setup change of his/her RC Buggy. The main idea of this helper tool is that driver sees whole set of options according to desired behaviour of his or her model. He/She doesn't need to drill down each page of the setup guide to find what he/she are really looking for. The interface adopted for both PC screen and mobile devices so driver can actually use it directly on the race event and apply changes right away quckly.
Here is actual link to the tool: https://rcgarage.info/SetupWizard
How does it work?
You pick a car behaviour you want to change from the available list and click on Increase or Decrease buttons depending on what you want to do with picked behaviour. This will show you the list of available car settings and proper actions you can make in order to get chosen behaviour.
Example: Suppose you have a car that has oversteer entering a corner and you want to smooth that behaviour. In most cases that would mean you want to decrease steering action off-throttle. There are behaviours divided into groups, such as Speed, Traction, Control, etc. In this case we are looking for steering action which can be found under Control section of behaviours. There you find Off-throttle steering behaviour and click Decrease button.
This tool was created based mostly on the following sources:
- Buggy Setup Guide by Steve Butts and Bruno Heremans: http://site.petitrc.com/reglages/BuggySetupGuide.pdf
- RC Handbook by Scott Guyatt: http://site.petitrc.com/reglages/RC_HandbookV3-4.pdf
The work is still in progress and we are trying to reach more professional drivers in order to get more information about certain setup options and make most of it.
