Serpent made the following statement regarding the new buggy:
"For the last 12 months, Billy Easton has been very busy designing, testing, and redesigning what we believe is the best 1:10 scale 2wd buggy! We decided to release the purpose designed rear motor version first , as that is what is raced mainly, and release the also purpose designed mid-motor version soon after, as well as the 2wd short course truck.

The seperate Serpent Spyder SRX-2 midmotor (MM) version will be released mid October 2013, for indoor and super high traction tracks. The RM and MM share many parts, but the Spyder MM design is optimized for MM only."
Stay tuned as more details are set to be released soon!
