The 2013 NAMBA Fast Electric Nationals was held this past weekend at Lake Minden in Nicolaus, California. National Champion Venom/Atomik team driver Bill Oxidean rounded up 4 podium finishes! Day one Bill grabbed 1st place in N-1 mono, as well as N-2 mono with his Joysway X-Blaze! Day 3 Bill took 1st place with a perfect score of 1,600 points in N-2 Sport Hydro (2s hydro) with his Venom Miss Excite. Bill then cruised his way into a 2nd place finish in the Pltd Tunnel class.

The weather was scorching hot, reaching highs of 113 degrees! The water itself was 85 degrees making water cooling less affective. Some drivers propped down to reduce heat in their systems, others just dealt with it. Drivers came from miles away, including Germany, for a shot at a national title. Things got so scorching hot, after each race day groups of racers actually swam in the lake course.

Food provided at the Venom sponsored banquet was delicious BBQ! This event is the very first official electric nationals per NAMBA rule book and also the unveiling of the Venom sponsored drivers stand!
