Race Report by Team Orion:
The 2013 Reedy Truck Race of Champions were held at Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita, CA just one week after the IFMAR 1/10 Electric Off-Road Worlds. Team Orion's Cody Turner and Jared Tebo took home the win in the Modified Truck and 2wd Modified Short Course classes using full Team Orion power equipment.
Modified Truck
Team Orion/Kyosho Factory Driver Cody Turner went onto TQ rounds #2 & #3 to take the overall TQ! Turner then went onto Win A-Mains #1 and #3 to take the overall Win in the Modified Truck class! This would also be Cody's first career Pro Win! Team Orion/Kyosho's Jared Tebo would take 2nd overall by finishing 2nd in A-Main #1 and Winning A-Main #2. Team Orion/AE's Ryan Cavalieri took 3rd overall after finishing 2nd in A-Main #2 and 2nd in A-Main #3.
Modified 2wd Short Course
Starting from the 4th position on the grid, Tebo was able to work his way through the field and Win both A-Main #1 & A-Main #2 to take the overall 2wd Modified Short Course Championship! Team Orion/Kyosho's Cody King would take 2nd overall by finishing 3rd in A-Main #1 and Winning A-Main #3. Cavalieri took 3rd overall after finishing 2nd in A-Main #1 and 2nd in A-Main #2.
Modified 4wd Short Course
Congrats also goes out to young David Jenson who went onto Win the 4x4 Modified Short Course Class with his Team Orion powered TLR Ten SCTE 2.0. Jenson took advantage of Team Orion's ultra smooth R10 Pro ESC and Hi-Power 8000mah Carbon Pro Li-Po Batteries! Look for more good things to come from this young talent in the future!
