A Moment with Mike is a weekly opinion column where LiveRC’s Mike Garrison gives his take on hot-button issues, general topics, and conversations within the RC industry. The views and opinions expressed in this article do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of LiveRC.

As many of you may know, I have a passion for both R/C car racing and motocross racing. While there are obvious differences between the two, they also share a lot of similarites. Growing up racing bikes it was the rough, gnarly, loamy, wide open, big air, motocross-style R/C car tracks of the early 2000's that first got me interested in R/C car racing. I do my best to combine the two whenever possible; whether it be simply rockin' motocross style number plates on my cars to organizing full blown motocross style R/C events. In my opinion, R/C cars and dirt bikes go together like peanut butter and jelly - and I LOVE peanut butter and jelly.

This week I have compiled just a few of my favorite videos showcasing the mix between R/C car racing and motocross:

First up is R/C car racing on a motocross track.

Next the roles are reversed for motocross racing on an R/C track.

Last, but not least, Traxxas puts R/C cars on the main stage during the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross Series TV broadcast.
