Early this morning, former European and German national champion Jörn Neumann released a statement on his Facebook page marking the end of his tenure with Serpent - unusual given that it came in the middle of the year. Neumann and his mechanic, Gerd Strenge, joined Serpent ahead of the 2015 season after Team Durango had dissolved its racing efforts, and while Neumann shared a photo with Strenge in the post he did not mention whether or not he was involved in the split - nor if he had a new sponsor lined up. Here’s what Neumann posted:

Today I need to announce that my relationship with Serpent has come to an end. We achieved great success together, with taking the European Championship title in 4WD last year as the highlight. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone at Serpent and 2-Speed for the support they gave me during that time.

At this point in my life things have recently changed. Let's see how the future will be for me beside and on the racing track.
