There’s been much buzz surrounding the ‘car’ that former World Champ Hara raced at the Sidewinder race last weekend in Temecula, CA not least judging by our inbox full of questions! Neo Buggy attempt to tackle the tricky topic head on!
Rewind back to June, Neo Buggy reported on Hara attending a race in Japan with a preproduction version of the CR8 buggy, a few weeks later he flew out to race the Alabama Manfacturers Shootout – joined by Jesse Robbers & HB designer Josh Alton – all 3 racing the unreleased CR8. Some of our keener viewers may recall Hara's video interview in Alabama saying although he was racing the CR8 at the event, the D8 development was still ongoing; for some more option parts in the future.
So back to the future, what car was Hara and the rest of the HB using at Sidewinder? A CR8, or a D8 update ? Simply put there is no easy answer to that question, rather the right word to describe the HB pits could have been 'confusion'...
