Team Associated Race Report:

The 2011 ROAR Regionals at West Coast Raceway in La Mirada, CA, kicked off on Friday December 2 with controlled practice and club racing that night. There were approximately 160 entries from several states that represent ROAR Region 12: California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii; and one driver from Japan (the 2007 2WD World Champion). The weather was typical for sunny California, with blue skies and mid-70-degree temperatures; however, the racing was fast and heated on the race track.

The race format consisted of three rounds of qualifying on Saturday and one round on Sunday, with triple A mains for all classes with a B main or lower.

Throughout qualifying Hartson was the man to beat. With his Reedy and LRP-powered B4.1, B44.1 and SC10 all starting on pole for the main events, the stage was set for a great weekend. With victories in A1 and A2 of both 2WD Modified and 4WD Modified, Hartson wrapped up the titles and only had the 2WD Short Course Modified class to complete the sweep. Another dominating performance from the young Associated star saw him again on the top step of Pro2, this time leading a podium sweep of SC10s.

A shout-out also goes out to Associated/Reedy/LRP teammate Josh Numan for two runner-up positions in 2WD and 4WD Modified.
