Pro-Line Race Report:
The 2012 JBRL Electric Series kicked off at OCRC on Saturday with a Record 385 entries! This obviously made for a super long day but Jimmy Babcock and the rest of the JBRL and OCRC crew kept the program running quickly and smoothly.
The track layout was fast and fun featuring a long back strait, a double-triple section and a tricky triple section right after a tight 180 turn. Check out the video below to see for yourself.
The premier class is always 2wd Mod Buggy and this day was no different. With the likes of Mike Truhe, Hayato Matsuzaki, Zach Rogers, Carson Wernimont, Jimmy Barnett and Pro-Line team drivers Chris Jarosz, Cody Turner, Nolan Anderson and Aaron Lane it was sure to be a battle to the end. Pro-Line’s Cody Turner set a blistering fast TQ time in the first round that proved unbeatable. Mike Truhe started 2nd on the grid. At the sound of the tone Cody got a great start but then received “the wheel” twice from Truhe on the first lap putting him dead last after the first lap. Chris Jarosz then moved to the front and never looked back. Cody Turner then battled hard from last to finish 2nd giving Pro-Line 1-2 over some stiff competition. There were even a few drivers sponsored by other tire brands running Pro-Line tires proving how great they were. Congratulations to Chris and Cody!
