PROTOform Race Report:

Team PROTOform racer JJ Wang used the PROTOform SRS-N race body to win the China Nitro Sedan Nationals. His victory was actually hard fought as he battled local Beijing favorite and one of the best in China, Chen Yan Fu. With just a minute and a half remaining in the 30 minute finals, JJ was a lap ahead before suffering a mechanical problem which made the car almost impossible to drive. But at the end, JJ pulled through and finished 8 seconds ahead of Chen to take home the National Title.

In the 1/8 GP On-Road class, JJ used the PROTOform R15B for qualifying, but switched to the P909 for better overall stability in the finals. JJ won the National title easily by 7 laps over his former coach Tommy Dai from Shanghai. Beijing’s Chen Yan Fu came in 3rd.

Overall, PROTOform Race Bodies accounted for nearly 90% of all the bodies used at the China Nationals in both Nitro and Electric, clearly showing the preferred choice when it comes to pure competitive racing.
