The Aussie Report - Homewrap Summer Series Rd.4

Knauth driving an RB powered Jap Spec MBX6, takes a commanding win over Sergio Manalvo, winning 4 of the 5 rounds over the night on what proved to be a very very challenging circuit design, the new section of circuit really testing the drivers skills. Duy Bui returning to racing in the Short Course class to take the outright round win ahead of Marc Christianson. On to the Racing!!!!

Round 1 - Pro Buggy - Sergio Manalvo - Mugen - OS gets out early to take the round 1 win from Phillip Ciccone - Mugen - Nova Rossi, Tony Knauth third with Tim Nicol - Serpent - Ninja fourth, Skip Jackson - Mugen - Nova Rossi rounding out the Top 5. Short Course Truck - Christianson takes a one lap win over the field, and sets the new FTD at 7 laps 5 min 29.353 secs, with new driver Nathan Weiss home in second place ahead of Henri Raafs in third, Paul Mansell and Beau Harris fourth and fifth.

Round 2 - Pro Buggy - Knauth with the Holeshot to lead from the start with Manalvo close behind, Jackson coming through the field up to third spot, the race finishing in that order, with Manalvo crossing the line 6.49 secs behind Knauth, Jackson a further 20.32 back to finish third ahead of Christianson and Nicol. Short Course Truck - Daniel White gets up to take the win 8.22 ahead of Duy Bui, Christianson a lap down in third, Mansell and Weiss foruth and fifth, Raafs, Ussher, Swan, Harris and Jackson filling the Top 10 spots.

Round 3 - Pro Buggy - Another win for Knauth, putting a lap on the field to set the FTD for the new circuit at 13 laps 8 min 35.357 secs, topping Manlavo's 8 min 35.849 secs set in the very first round of the night. Manalvo setting the fastest lap at 35.889 secs, in this heat. Tim Nicol pushing hard through the pack to take the number 2 spot ahead of Manalvo, Christianson and Jackson. Short Course Truck - An awesome race to watch with Christiason and Bui battling all race, Christianson coming out on top to finish 12.03 ahead of Bui, Ussher in third 23.22 behind, Weiss putting on a good show in foruth 31.29 behind.

Round 4 - Pro Buggy - Knauth topping the leaderboard again at the end, although it was Nicol who picked up the Holeshot setting the new record at 50.82 secs, Knauth getting caught up early being relegated to the back of the field pushed hard throughout to chase them down, going past Manalvo in the final stages to take the win 10.19 secs ahead, Ciccone hanging on for third a further 4 secs back from a hard charging Christianson who finished a mere 0.05 secs behind. Short Course Truck - It was on again between Bui and Christianson, the pair going head to head the whole race, only 2.79 secs seperating them at the end Beau Harris making a show of it to pick up third ahead of Ussher and Weiss.

Round 5 - Pro Buggy - The final round of the night sees Knauth take another win, gettnig the Holeshot and getting away early leaving the field to battle it out between themselves Christianson breaking away from the pack to chase down the leader and go past him in the closing stages, a small mistake from Christianson just costing him the win finishing 0.59 secs behind Knauth on the line. Manalvo up to third, Nathan Tampe - Hyper 9 into fourth ahead of Ciccone, Ingram, Nicol and Jackson. Short Course Truck - Sees Bui take a comfortable win over the field to finish a lap ahead of Weiss with Ussher up to third, Harris and Swan filling the Top Five.

Another Fantastic night of racing, a number of new drivers, great competition, some awesome Action from the new Outlaw Truck class, a challenging new circuit layout and NO Rain !!!
