Team Kyosho's Jimmy Rivera has added another win to the long list of Kyosho victories this year! Taking the win at the annual Dash For Cash race hosted by CRC this past weekend.

OFFICIAL KYOSHO RACE REPORT:

Hats off to the crew at CRC as they ran an excellent show, at their great facility and simply stellar racetrack!

With 4 rounds of qualifying and mains running under the lights was a must, the crew at CRC did a fantastic job keeping things moving. There was money up for grabs and $7500 worth of giveaways (which were given away all day) almost guaranteeing that everyone at the track was sure to have a great time and walk away with some swag. Again, a big thanks to Frank Calandra and his team at CRC Raceway.

1/8 Nitro Buggy A Main

During A Main 1/8 Nitro Buggy qualifying we saw Mark Calandra wheel his TLR 2.0 to the TQ spot followed by another TLR driven by Tom Firshing, John Bauer with his TLR then Jimmyjames Rivera and Jerome Treignier both driving Kyosho Inferno MP9's rounding out the top 5.

The 30 min A main would prove to be a battle and have some upsets, we saw Mark Calandra, Jerome Treignier and John Bauer check out on the first few laps as a first turn pile up collected some of the field, we then would see the leader have trouble and forfeit the lead to Tom Firshing with Jerome Treignier in tow.

Tom Firshing started to check out which left Jerome Treigner in 2nd and a battle between Losi Driver/track owner Frank Calandra and Jimmyjames for the 3rd spot.

Trouble for the leader Tom Firshing then put Jerome Treigner in the lead with Jimmyjames and Frank Calandra in tow.

With less than 3 minutes left, the battle between Jerome Treignier and Jimmyjames would begin. It was however, short lived, as a fuel tube leak would prevent Jerome from finishing and would forfeit the lead to Jimmyjames with Tom Firshing now in tow, less than 3 seconds apart with 2 minutes left on the clock.

Jimmyjames was able to hang on to his Kyosho MP9 for the last few laps and take the Win and the Cash

FINAL RESULTS:

1st Jimmyjames Rivera (Kyosho)

2nd Tom Firshing (TLR)

3rd Frank Calandra (TLR)

4th Brian Bellinger

5th Mark Calandra (TLR)

1/8 Electric Buggy

With money up for grabs and a 10 Minute main it was sure to be a good race. Qualifying was set, Jay Christiano and his TLR 2.0 were able to capture the TQ spot and an extra $20 for doing so. Rounding out the Top 5 were Jimmyjames Rivera with his Kyosho MP9, Kevin McNerney, Mark "Rambo" Calandra with his TLR and Steve Kilbourn.

With only 10 Minutes and Money up for grabs we saw Jay Christiano take the lead lap but he was heavily pressed by Mark Calandra.

On lap 3 Mark was able to make a pass on the leader and Jimmyjames followed, making the top 3 Mark, Jimmyjames and Jay.

A bad lap by the TQ Jay, gave Mark and Jimmyjames some breathing room to put on a show for a good 5 minutes. Mark and Jimmyjames battled neck and neck with very few mistakes and very clean racing.

With 4 Minutes left, the leader, Mark Calandra made a mistake which let Jimmyjames pass for the lead. They were however, still within 2 seconds of each other for the remainder of the race.

In the end, Jimmyjames was able to maintain the lead, even with the pressure coming from Mark Calandra, and take the win and the cash.

FINAL RESULTS:

1st Jimmyjames Rivera (Kyosho)

2nd Mark Calandra (TLR)

3rd Jay Christiano (TLR)

4th Rob Lindemann (Hot Bodies)

5th Joey Pettinelli
