JR Mitch wins the Clash Warm-Up - Team Associated Race Report
In preparation for the JConcepts Clash, a Nitro Clash warm up was held in Coral Springs, FL. It was a successful test day for all nitro racers who will be attending the Clash in just a few weeks. In the Pro Buggy A Main, Team Associated drivers JR Mitch and Renato Jr. Tradardi competed with their Factory Team RC8.2s, with Mitch taking the overall TQ spot.
Mitch was able to check out early in the race and extend his lead to half a lap over second in the first 10 minutes of the race. With Mitch making one and then two mistakes with 7:30 to go, the race got very interesting. Now it was a battle between the two "Jr"s. In the last couple laps when Renato Jr. had the lead, he made a small mistake at the first turn, letting JR Mitch slip by. Both drivers were so close to each other, but in the end JR Mitch with his Reedy-powered, JConcepts-equipped RC8.2 took the win by just .9 sec over Renato Tradardi Jr.
Special thanks to JR Mitch for this report.
Reno wins the Supercross Race - Team Xray Race Report

Race report by Reno Savoya
It's a famous event right now in the area, because the club is always working very hard on changing the layout of the track just for the event!! It's an opportunity to be out of the federation rules, and create massive jumps and technical sections!!
Unfortunately, the race was delayed to the next week end because of the poor weather we had.
60 drivers attended the race, either in Buggy, Truggy, or Brushless 1/8 buggies.
Not so many 1/8 brushless buggies registered, so the organizer decided to make them run with the big nitro boys!
The truggy category was locked for 12 drivers.
The qualifications were held on 3 rounds of 5 minutes. XRAY drivers did great, because I TQed each round and Christophe Maglione took the 3rd spot with his 808 spec 2011! Here are the buggy results:
1/ Renaud Savoya XRAY XB808'11
2/ Thomas Nuzzaci
3/ Christophe Maglione XRAY XB808'11
4/ Jean-Michel Savoya
5/ Cédric Giraud
6/ Nicolas Borgeot
7/ Mario Di Leo
8/ Sébastien Philippe
9/ Johan Camet
10/ Jean-Michel Ecuvillon
In truggy, Bertrand Giraud, after an 8 months R/C brake took the 2nd spot in qualifications, great job for him and his XT8!
1/ Renaud Savoya XRAY XT8
2/ Betrand Giraud XRAY XT8
3/ Jean-Michel Savoya
The format was following EFRA rules with 1/4, semis, mains.
The truggy main was 30 minutes and the buggy main 45.
Unfortunately for him, Christophe Maglione lost a driveshaft pin in buggy, as he was cruising in 2nd place!
In truggy, Bertrand Giraud had a great fight with the determined Savoya senior, but some mistakes on the big double forced him to take the 3rd spot overall. Not too bad after 8 months without Nitro!! I didn't let any doubt in both classes, as I took the lead from start to finish, ending up with more than 8 laps lead!
Here are the results:
Buggy:
1/ Renaud Savoya XRAY XB808‘11
2/ Jean-Michel Savoya
3/ Cédric Giraud
Truggy:
1/ Renaud Savoya XRAY XT8
2/ Jean-Michel Savoya
3/ Bertrand Giraud XRAY XT8
Great job to the club organizers, who did a fantastic job to make this event even bigger every year! Let's get even more fun next year with more top drivers!
Special thanks to "THE JOKER" for the pictures.
Tradardi Jr. crowned TT Champion - Team Associated Race Report
The Copa Sudamericana TT took place in Santiago at the Pista San Bernardo XRC Racing facility in the beautiful country of Chile. Stretching down the West coast of South America, Chile is one of the most prosperous nations in South America, thus making it a great destination for the annual “Cup of South America.”
Team Associated’s Renato Tradardi Jr. from Venezuela was on hand to represent Team Associated and their distributor RT Racing Products. With his brand new RC8.2 buggy, Tradardi Jr. navigated the ever-changing surface throughout the five-day event with patience and ease.
Comparing his finish against entrants from outside of the FAMAR (Fourth Association of Model Auto Racing) organization for this race, Tradardi Jr. held his own, finishing third overall. However, he finished first overall among the other FAMAR entrants, which earned Tradardi Jr. the overall title win and the first Copa Sudamericana TT Championship of his young career -- just 2 laps ahead of his nearest competitor!
Special thanks to RT Racing Products for this report.
Kyosho Buggy Championships - JQ Products Race Report
1st Ryan Lee JQProducts / Sweep / Alpha A852
2nd DJ Park JQProducts / AKA / OS Speed
3rd Hyungwook Jang Serpent / Sweep /Novarossi
More great news from Korea, where JQProducts is also Korean Champion.
Here is a short report by Ryan Lee: I attended The Kyosho Buggy championship at Jungwang offroad circuit yesterday. The track was wet due to rain until 11AM, but many drivers helped to clean out water after the rain stopped, so the race could start at noon with a shortened schedule. My car perform a lot better than Korean nationals. The new smooth gearing is even better than overdrive with stock gearing, and lighter diff oil set up of 3-5-2 felt very good on entire track. My car was super strong at the very tough Jungwang track. I could finish the 40minute main final with faster average laptime under bad surface condition compared to Nationals! Another JQProducts driver made the A-main! DJ Park also got a good result, he struggled at the beginning but he could manage to step up one by one then finally finished in the runner up spot. What a perfect result for JQ Products!

Thanksgiving Throwdown Series Round 1 - JConcepts Race Report
Losi’s Frank Root was on hand for the opening round of the Thanksgiving Throwdown Series Saturday at West Coast R/C Raceway (WCRC). The track had fantastic traction, and a really fun and technical layout. The entry count was very strong at just over 150 and a great day of racing was had by all.
Pro2 (Modified SC) – Frank’s Losi XXX-SCT equipped with the JConcepts SC Tires was untouchable all day. Frank would take the TQ in both rounds of qualifying, choosing Gold Bar Codes for maximum traction on the damp clay surface. Frank started on form at the sound of the tone and quickly pulled out from the field, leaving the battle for 2nd place.
After the race Frank had this to say, “When the combination of traction, speed, and wear are as good as the JConcepts Gold Bar Codes, why would I ever run a different tire indoors… The answer is that I wouldn’t!”

Denney wins Round 2 of KBRL Series - Team Associated Race Report
Round 2 of the KBRL Series kicked off at the Fear Farm located in Phoenix, Arizona. A record 200 entries showed up to compete in the fast-growing series. The traction level provided was extremely hooked up with a watered surface making it relatively loose when it was dry. Tire choice as well as driver changes were necessary to compete all day long at the Fear Farm.
During the opening moments of the main event, mistakes by the leaders sent cars in all directions. Tanner Denney emerged with the lead and stretched it with his Reedy/LRP-equipped B4.1 to a 10-second margin. Associated teammate Brian Kinwald remained in the second position and looked to hunt down Denney. During the closing laps, Tanner got caught up in traffic, allowing the margin between him and Kinwald to be cut in half. Tanner would not be denied and finished off the remaining laps in style, cruising to a sizable victory on the popular series. Brian Kinwald finished second and Chris Wheeler third.
Tanner Denney and Brian Kinwald both equipped their B4.1s with the new +8mm chassis and LRP SXX V2 speed controls. Tanner also used the Reedy Sonic 7.5-turn motor and Reedy #628 battery to bring home the victory.
Special thanks to Tanner Denney for this report.
