Maifield sweeps AMS 2011

We hope everyone enjoyed all of the live racing this past weekend from the 2011 Alabama Manufacturer Shootout, but for those of you who missed out, our friends at NeoBuggy have put together this race recap and videos for your viewing pleasure!

NeoBuggy Report:

Ryan Maifield put on two fantastic 45 minute drives to sweep this year's Alabama Manfuacturer's Shootout, whilst the truggy main proved but a display of fast cruise control, the buggy main was a bit sweatier for Maifield as Robbers clung onto the rear of his RC8 for the first stint in the race. He opened up a gap but Robbers assumed the lead, albeit briefly until he pitted, Truhe ran in 3rd with Lutz on his tail. Things looked stable until flame out after flame out swept through the field, cutting short Robber's chances of victory, this allowed Lutz through who had passed Truhe to try and keep Maifield honest. He did so for a bit until Maifield managed to put a lap on him. The truggy main was more exciting but nonetheless we saw great drives from Billy Easton, seemingly getting faster and faster deeper into the final. Also respectable shout outs to the drivers who don't feature on neo as much who made the show, JP Tirronen, Mike Paige, Derek Guidry, Josh Glancy, also Barry Pettit, a whole sackful of engine cuts plagued him, but a driver to look out for in the future along with Tanner Denney. As racers head towards home, all credit to Maifield for his drives, and Alan Burton and team for putting on this great race.
