This weekend was the 2011 ROAR 1/8 Nationals Warm-Up race hosted by Thunder Alley. As expected the event was nothing less than wheel to wheel racing. Leading up to the race heavy-hitters such as current World Champ Cody King, Kyosho's Jared Tebo, TLR's Adam Drake and many others were expected to be running close. It was Team Associated's Ryan Maifield, however, who dominated the entire weekend. With a TQ and win, it was more than obvious that Maifield was on fire!

Our friends at NeoBuggy spotted Maifield's RC8B in the pits with a new carbon fiber front shock tower, and what appeared to be Kyosho MP9 front springs. A combination of the RC8B new parts, JConcepts new Hybrid tires, and of course RM's exceptional driving put him out front to a commanding lead from start to finish. Can Maifield do it again next weekend for the 2011 Silver State Challenge?
